A Lawrenceville man has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting Friday afternoon near a restaurant in Norcross.
According to a press release from the Gwinnett County Police Department, Jerrett Mitchell, 22, was killed in the shooting in the 1300 block of Indian Trail Road.
Police responded at about 6 p.m. Friday to the scene of the shooting, where they found two victims. Mitchell was found dead in the doorway of a restaurant, while the second victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to a local hospital.
Detectives said they were looking for two suspects in the shooting. Both fled from the scene on foot.
"At this time, very little is known about the victims and what took place," the release said. "The investigation is ongoing."
