The Georgia Department of Transportation is conducting overnight single-lane closures on Ga. 11 near its intersection with Ga. 316 in Barrow County this week.
The closures started Monday night according to a release from GDOT and are expected to continue through Thursday, weather permitting. Weather delays could see the closures continue through Saturday.
The closures are being done between 8:00 p.m. and 5:50 a.m. through Thursday but will be done from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. if necessary Saturday and Sunday. The closures are being done to build a temporary shoulder on the road right lane for a traffic shift that is coming to the intersection on Sunday.
The work is expected to impact both north and southbound traffic on Ga. 11.
