The Arts Council has doubled its outdoor summer concert series at the Smithgall Arts Center from five to ten events this year.
According to a press release, The Peach State Bank & Trust Summer Music Series, which features a blend of new bands and community favorites, opens May 6.
“As an evolving organization, The Arts Council hopes to engage with all members of our community by appealing to a broad set of musical interests with this diverse lineup of performances,” Pamela Williams-Lime, executive director of the Arts Council, said. “As part of our efforts to connect with a broader audience, we are offering one free event on Mother’s Day weekend and have kept the other performance ticket prices low - ranging from $15 to $40. We are thrilled to have Peach State Bank & Trust as our title sponsor for this year’s series as well as other supporting sponsors.”
The Concert Schedule is as follows:
• Fly Betty Band, May 6
• North Georgia Chamber Symphony, May 13
• The Venue Jazz Orchestra, May 20
• Tribute – A Celebration of the Allman Brothers Band, June 3
