No injuries were reported after a house fire Thursday morning on East Vale Circle in Gainesville.
According to a press release from Hall County Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched at about 7:15 a.m. to the fire in the 3300 block of the roadway.
Arriving crews found a two-story split-level home with heavy black smoke emitting from the roof.
The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished. Crews also cut open vents in the roof to rid the structure of any remaining smoke.
No one was found inside the home during a search. It was later determined the homeowner was not home when the fire broke out.
The total loss of the house is about 30%.
The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal's Office.
