Forsyth County Government has named Brad Wright as the interim director of the county's Water & Sewer department, following the appointment of Barry Lucas to Assistant County Manager.

According to a press release from the county, Wright has served as the deputy director of business services for the Water & Sewer department since July 2020. In this role, he oversees all work related to finances, billing and collections, budgeting and reporting, customer service and meter services for the department.

“We are confident that Brad will lead the department well during the interim until a new Water & Sewer Department director is named,” said County Manager David McKee. “His work reflects his commitment to ensuring Forsyth County continues to provide the highest quality water and sewer services.”

Wright has a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting and management from Southeast Missouri State University and a master's degree in accountancy from Southern Illinois University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

"During his time with the County, Wright said he has witnessed firsthand how the County’s Water & Sewer Department delivers the highest quality water and sewer services through multiple treatment facilities and the Engineering, Maintenance and Business Services divisions," the release reads.

The interim position will remain in place until a new director is hired and in office.
