A teenager from Flowery Branch was arrested Tuesday and charged with allegedly possessing and sharing child pornography.

According to a press release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Rocco John Dodero, 17, was charged with 14 counts of felony sexual exploitation of children.

The sheriff's office received a cyber tip on March 9 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a video depicting child pornography being shared from a Snapchat account linked to a Hall County address. The account was allegedly traced to Dodero.

An initial investigation determined Dodero shared the video on Dec. 2, 2022. It contained images of children believed to be between the ages of 4 and 13 engaged in sexually explicit activity.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office and members of the GBI's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit went to Dodero's home on Tuesday to serve a search warrant. They seized his cellphone and authorities allegedly located additional child sexual abuse material on the device.

Dodero remained in the Hall County Jail without bond as of Wednesday morning.
