Despite a very light schedule on the diamond on Tuesday, Region 7-3A once again has three key series on tap.
Seventh-ranked Lumpkin County (15-2, 8-1 Region 7-3A) and No. 2 Pickens (16-3, 8-1 Region 7-3A) have begun to get some separation after last week. Both lead third-place Dawson County (10-7, 6-3 Region 7-3A) by two games.
The Indians and their arch-rival Tigers open a huge series in Dawsonville with the Tigers needing to win at least two games to get back in the race. The can set up a series with Pickens in two weeks for a possible region-title showdown if they win the series are even sweep the Tigers. Pickens plays rival Gilmer (6-10, 0-6 Region 7-3A) this week.
White County (6-10, 1-5 Region 7-3A) and Wesleyan (6-7, 3-3 Region 7-3A) open a big series for both teams in Norcross.
