Road work will be impacting traffic on I-85 in Franklin County during the overnight hours this week.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said in a release that crews will be installing a temporary barrier wall between the Georgia 51 and Georgia 320 exits in Carnesville. The work is expected to take place between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. starting Monday night and continuing through Thursday morning.
There will be single-lane closures on both the northbound and southbound sides of the interstate during these times. Drivers using that portion of the interstate during those times are advised to expect delays and drive carefully.
