Boy Scouts of America's Northeast Georgia Council held its 24th annual American Values Dinner Thursday at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville to honor three citizens for their exceptional contributions to the Hall County community.
"Each year, the goals of this dinner are to raise money for the local Scouting program and to honor three outstanding citizens with the Ralph Cleveland Distinguished Citizen Award," Scout Field Advisor Foy Todd said in a release Friday.
The dinner had more than 150 individual donors and corporate sponsors including two presenting sponsors - Mar-Jac Poultry and Northeast Georgia Health System. Latham Saddler, a former Navy SEAL, was the keynote speaker at the event, Todd said.
