Cleveland man receives life sentence for aggravated child molestation

A Cleveland man will spend the rest of his life in prison following his conviction on aggravated child molestation charges.

According to Enotah Judicial Circuit District Attorney Jeff Langley, Scott Alan Bradshaw, 57, received the sentence on March 3 in White County Superior Court.

Langley said Bradshaw, who turned himself in to authorities on Nov. 30, 2021, was indicted by a White County Grand Jury on Feb. 10, 2022.  He was charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and two separate counts of child molestation involving four underage victims.

Bradshaw had been previously accused of victimizing young people in Kansas City, Mo. prior to moving to White County, Langley said. However, Bradshaw was never convicted.

The judge sentenced Bradshaw to life with 25 to serve on each of the two counts of aggravated child molestation, to be served consecutively, and 19 years on the two other counts for a total of life with 88 years to serve.

“As District Attorney, I am proud of the work by the White County Sheriff’s Department on this case and the Prosecution team including assistant district attorneys Greg Futch and Andrew Smallwood and investigator Steve Blackwell," Langley said. "This individual had alluded justice for years elsewhere but was held accountable by a jury in White County.”
