Tax Commissioner's Office launches upgraded website for Hall County residents

By AccessWDUN staff

As part of its ongoing "Save a Trip" campaign, the Hall County Tax Commissioner's Office has launched a new website to further assist online taxpayers.

Officials say the website, which can be found here, has been upgraded in order to provide more easily-accessible information to visitors. This includes a new artificial intelligence-aided chat feature that can assist taxpayers in finding helpful or relevant information more quickly.

Taxpayers also have the new option of enrolling in a "texting program" that will offer quick responses to any question received during normal office hours.

“We’ve developed multiple convenient ways to pay your property taxes or renew your vehicle tag,” Tax Commissioner Darla Eden said in a media release announcing the upgraded site. “Our new website outlines these technologies and many more services offered by our office from the comfort of your home or convenience of your mobile phone.”

Online users can also use the website to schedule appointments, cutting down on wait times for in-person meetings.

The Tax Commissioner's office now offers several ways to “Save a Trip and Skip the Line” to handle motor vehicle and property tax payments.

These options include:

•Renew tag decals and pay property taxes online at www.hallcountytax.org.
•Instant tag decals at kiosks in participating Krogers.
•Mail in tag renewal or property tax payment.
•Use the drive-up drop box just across from the front doors at the Government Center.
•Call 770-531-6950 or Text 833.602.8497.

For questions, please contact the Hall County Tax Commissioner's Office by phone at (770) 531-6950, email [email protected] or text at 1-833-602-8497.
