DACULA, Ga. — The Flowery Branch tennis teams split with Dacula on Thursday in a pair of non-region matches.
The Lady Falcons (3-2) took a solid 5-0 win while not dropping a set. Sandra Hernandez, Katie Martin, and Avery Marx all took straight-set wins losing just five total games to sweep the singles.
The doubles teams of Violet Shultz and Haley Bursinger and Casey Beaver and Casey Skaggs also won in straight sets.
For the boys, they lost a tough 3-2 decision as Dacula swept the singles and Branch swept the doubles.
Brayden Jackson, Logan Magnuson, and Logan Huntsman dropped straight-set matches in the singles.
The No. 1 doubles team of Josh Warren and Ty Weatherley won a tidy 6-2, 6-1 match while the No. 2 team of Eli King and Reid Barnes needed three sets get the win.
