The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce hosted 60 small businesses Thursday for its annual Business Expo held at Lanier Technical College's Ramsey Conference Center.
"This is an event that we [GHCC] host to allow our small businesses to feature what they do and serve other businesses," Tim Evans, the vice president of economic development with the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, said.
The Business Expo is an event open to the public; however, many of the attendees were also business owners who were looking for services from other small businesses.
Amanda Wilbanks, the founder and CEO of Southern Baked Pie Company, was the keynote speaker at the expo. She shared her story about how she grew her small Hall County business into one that ships product across the United States, Evans said.
Businesses from local restaurants to insurance companies, to Georgia State Patrol, all had booths at the event. Some businesses looked to hire employees, while others sported ways to highlight their business' specialties and services.
"We offered a digital business card service at our booth," Director of Sales Lori Thompson with Jacobs Media said. "It was a great service that we knew would be beneficial to those businesses at the event and for those coming to attend the event."
Jacob's Media was named the 'Most Educational' for their digital business card station.
The Greater Hall Chamber hosts several business-related events throughout the year.
