The newest recruits of Northeast Georgia EMTs have completed their training in White County.
In a ceremony held December 18 at the Cleveland Worship Center, the White County Fire Services Training Academy graduated 14 EMT Students.
A White County release said the majority of the graduates are White County Firefighters continuing their education, but the school was also available for firefighters in surrounding counties, with participants from the City of Gainesville and from Union County.
The graduates completed 290 hours of classroom instruction and are eligible to test for the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Certification.
"I consider this a major accomplishment for each of these graduates," White County Fire Services EMS Lead Instructor, Shad Sosebee said. "They have been hard at work since August and their efforts are already paying off. We are pleased to have a 100% pass rate for the Psychomotor Exams."
