BUFORD, Ga. — KJ Bolden, a long time Florida State commit, at the last minute signed instead with Georgia on the first National Signing Day on Wednesday.
According to DawgNation, the Buford standout and the nation's top-rated safety, made his decision during a ceremony at the Buford High School cafeteria.
Rumors had circulated that Bolden may be headed to Auburn in a last-minute change but instead it was the nearby Bulldogs that were able to get the deal done.
Bolden's Buford teammate, Eddrick Houston, signed with Ohio State on Wednesday as well. There had been talk of Houston flipping from the Buckeyes but in the end he stayed with his commitment.
Meanwhile, Jefferson's Sammy Brown, the state's top linebacking recruit, signed with Clemson on Wednesday in Jefferson. Brown committed to the Tigers last year and never wavered from his top choice.
