A Lawrenceville man was charged Monday on a child molestation warrant and remains in the Hall County Jail.
Jordan Michah McLain, 26, was booked into the Hall County Monday after being arrested at the Catawba County, North Carolina Jail, according to officials with Hall County. Investigators had been searching for McLain since warrants were issued for his arrest in March.
A charge of felony child molestation was levied against McLain after a seven-month investigation into an alleged assault on a female child under the age of 16.
The crime reportedly occurred in February 2017 and was reported to law enforcement after the child made a disclosure to a family member.
McLain was acquainted with the victim and her family, officials said Tuesday.
McLain is currently being held in the Hall County Jail without bond as of the last report.
