With the 2023-24 basketball season barely two weeks old, another region, 7-3A, will get its region schedule under way while Region 8-4A will have several key matchups around the area on Tuesday.
And there are some important games right out of the gate for 7-3A.
West Hall and Dawson County meet in Oakwood with both boys already showing much improvement and looking like they could challenge for playoff spots. And Lumpkin County will play host to Wesleyan with a pair of new coaches and more questions than answers in the early going.
In 8-4A, Cherokee Bluff plays host to East Forsyth with all four teams expected to challenge for playoff spots by season's end. Also in 8-4A, East Hall and North Hall meet in Valhalla with a pair of intriguing matchups. Johnson travels to Chestatee as well.
