Towns County's Christmas Parade is postponed one week

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

While plans are on schedule in Gainesville for the city's holiday parade this Sunday, another Northeast Georgia county's weekend event has been postponed for one week.

The Towns County Sheriff's Office, in anticipation of inclement weather this Saturday, December 2nd,  has postponed their Christmas Parade for one week, until Saturday, December 9th.

The Towns County Sheriff's Office Facebook page has posted that the new date will retain the same start time of 5:30 p.m.

All original plans will remain in place for the setting, according to Towns County officials.
