DUI determined as cause of injury crash in South Hall

By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

Authorities say a man who was injured in a single-vehicle accident in southern Hall County Saturday night was driving under the influence.

A social media post from the Hall County Sheriff's Office said the wreck happened on Pine Vale Road near Woodglen Drive. Georgia State Patrol officials said a vehicle driven by Shawn Miglore, age 48 of Gainesville, was heading north on Pine Vale Road when it crossed the center line, overcorrected and hit multiple trees.

Miglorie was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and landed in the roadway. State patrol officials said he suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

While at the hospital, officials said it was determined that Miglorie was driving under the influence.

There were no other injuries reported in the incident. Sheriff's Office officials said Pine Vale Road was shut down at the scene for multiple hours.
