Suspect arrested after shooting in Gwinnett County

The suspect in a double shooting Tuesday night in Lawrenceville has been arrested. 

Gwinnett County Police detectives said Terrance Alonzo Washington, 43 was arrested Wednesday in Warner Robins. 

"The motivation behind this shooting appears to be domestic-related. Washington had previously been in a relationship with the female victim," Gwinnett Police officials said. 

The 44-year-old female victim is the mother of the 20-year-old male victim. Both victims remain in critical condition. 

Washington faces charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by taking.

The suspect remains in the Warner Robins detention center.

A double shooting in Lawrenceville Tuesday night leaves a man and woman with life-threatening injuries while a suspect remains at large.

Gwinnett County Police were responding to the report of a domestic dispute at a home on Dayspring Trace in unincorporated Lawrenceville at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when they arrived to hear gunshots coming from the driveway of a home.

Investigators say they then saw a man fleeing the area in a vehicle while the two shooting victims were lying in the driveway. 

The unidentified victims were taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries while the suspect remains at large.
