Safety officials in White County are reminding area residents about the high risk for brush fires in North Georgia after responding to two calls for brush fires on Wednesday, November 1.
White County Public Safety says high fire danger conditions were detected with less than 30 percent relative humidity and wind gusts over 10 miles per hour while responding to the fires.
Social media posts suggest that residents with dry fuels around and ongoing significant drought conditions, high fire danger conditions can be expected and ask you to refer to your local burn permitting authorities whether you may burn outdoors.
