In a wild week 10, playoff spots were clinched and region races were cleared up.
In region 7-3A, Lumpkin County survived in a four-overtime thriller over White County, 61-55, while Gilmer took down Dawson County, 31-24. In region 8-A Division I, Commerce took another step toward the region championship with a 49-21 win over Elbert County, while Rabun County kept pace with a 38-0 win over Athens Christian.
In 8-6A, Gainesville stayed unbeaten with a 55-0 shutout of Shiloh, North Forsyth won on the road at Habersham Central, 36-19, and Lanier took down Jackson County, 31-7. Buford shook off last week's loss with a 66-0 win over Dacula, and Jefferson blew past Loganville, 56-20.
In 8-4A, Madison County took a big step toward the second seed with a 50-34 win over East Forsyth, while Cherokee Bluff stayed in the playoff picture with a 49-0 win over East Hall. Cedar Shoals beat Chestatee, 45-21.
