Police say at around 8:10 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to reports of “discharging firearm” in the 1600 block of Pirkle Road in unincorporated Norcross.

After arriving on scene and canvassing the area, they located the body of a man in between the 1700 building of Pirkle Road and another building on Hampton Ridge Road.

Investigators believe that there was an exchange of gunfire between at least two people just before the 911 calls began to come in.
