Safety officials in Hall County are reminding commuters that this week will be a busy one out at Road Atlanta. The festivities for Motul Petit Le Mans are taking place through Saturday, October 14th, the day of the 10 hour endurance road race.
Hall County Sheriff's Office has posted a reminder of the planned detours surrounding the area, including the use of Benefield Road and Tanners Mill Road on Saturday.
Authorities say Winder Highway (53) Southbound traffic will be diverted to Ga. 211/Tanners Mill Road. Northbound vehicles will be directed onto Benefield Road at around 10:00 p.m.
The detour is expected to last until approximately 11:30 p.m. as the track clears racing trailers, commercial vehicles and specator commuter vehicles out from the raceway.
