The North Hall softball team finished the 2023 regular season as one of the hottest teams around on Tuesday.
Genesis Satterfield homered twice and drove in three runs to lead the Lady Trojans to a key 17-0, Region 8-4A win over Chestatee.
The win capped a five-game win streak down the stretch for the Lady Trojans (18-7, 12-6 Region 8-4A) to clinch a playoff berth. They finished fourth behind Seckinger, who beat Walnut Grove on Tuesday, for third. North Oconee won the region title with East Forsyth taking second.
Marley Weaver had three hits and two RBI and Jacey Smith had two hits and four RBI for North Hall. The Lady Trojans scored 12 runs in the third inning to put the game out of reach.

The Lady Broncos closed out their Region 8-4A schedule in style as well, and finished second after the big win on Tuesday.
Kennah Wall had two hits and three RBI as East Forsyth (18-10, 15-3 Region 8-4A) scored six runs each in the first and second innings. The Lady Broncos managed just six hits but took advantage of five Cedar Shoals errors.
Kendall Linn threw a no-hitter and struck out three batters to get the win.
