Customers of Habersham EMC in the Clarkesville area experienced a disruption in service Thursday, but thankfully, only for a short time during the late afternoon.
A release from HEMC's social media shows crews responded to a "major outage" from Clarkesville's Primary substation Thursday afternoon.
Fast action by the HEMC linemen was able to restore power to all customers by the early evening.
While HEMC thanked customers for their patience in the release, the exact cause for the substation outage has not been released.
