The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a Monday morning crash on Ga. 365 in Habersham County which left one person with suspected serious injuries.

Troopers responded to the collision just after 8:00 a.m. Monday between a 2020 Toyota Corolla driven by Jordan Wade of Mount Airy and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Larry Shepheard, 57, of Gainesville, at the signal for Highway 365 at Georgia 197.

Investigators said Wade's Corolla was traveling north on Ga. 365 when it approached the traffic light at the Georgia 197 intersection.

Wade reportedly was unable to see the traffic light.  He entered the intersection after the light had turned red and struck the truck of Shepheard at the crossing.

Wade suffered an injury to his midsection during the crash and was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  Shepheard was taken to Northeast Georgia Habersham for observation.
