David McCoy added to his 2022 win total on Friday night at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway, but it was hometown hero Vince Fanello who took home the season long prize.
McCoy, from Franklin, North Carolina, held off Brandon Haley to score the Limited Late Model win by about six car lengths at the 3/8-mile clay raceway.
Fanello, from Lavonia, Georgia, came home in fifth, which was enough to wrap up the division championship for the 2022 season.
Chris Woods finished the night in third, with Bubba Russell in fourth.
In other action, Joshua Bishop led wire-to-wire to score the 602 Late Model feature victory over Jay Coen.
Parris Simmons finished in third, taking home the division championship in the process.
Nathan Bray came home in fourth, with Hoyt Partain in fifth.
Chris Nickerson drove to the early lead in the Open Wheel Modified feature, and held off David Dove to score the victory.
But it was Dove who scored the 2022 Open Wheel Modified track championship with his runner-up finish. It would be one of two titles Dove would score on the night, as he also took the Championship in the Stock 8 division.
Thomas Segars followed in third, with James Campbell in fourth.
Nathan Brown took the checkered flag first to record the Stock 8 feature win, with David Brown in second, Joe Anders in third, Mike Oglesby in fourth, and Arron Chronic in fifth.
David Dove had trouble early and finished ninth, enough to secure the division title.
Matt Gilbert moved out to the early lead in the 21-car Stock 4 feature, and held the point the rest of the way to score the win. Justin Taylor finished second, with Travis Mosley third, Tyler Riddle fourth, and Austin Brown fifth.
Zac Cox rolled home to a 14th place finish, which was all he needed to take the 2022 division championship.
In the 602 Chargers feature, Hunter Atkinson took the early lead and drove to the win. Dylan Bartlett finished in second, with Crash Dockery in third, Bryson Robinson in fourth, and Roger Autry in fifth.
Cameron Fowler drove to his 13th Young Guns feature win of the season, clinching the division championship in the process. Bryson Briscoe, Chase Arrowood, Cohen Fortson, and Jayda Brown rounded out the top five.
J.B. Moser was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Justin Harris in second, followed by Chris Meadows in third, Steven Shedd in fourth, and Tony Stevens in fifth.
Kevin Bryant finished ninth, and took home the division championship title.
