The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s 15th Annual HealthSmart Expo on Oct. 5 will offer free health screenings for community members.
Northeast Georgia Medical Center will present the HealthSmart Expo at Lanier Technical College’s Ramsey Conference Center and LongStreet Clinic will provide the free health screenings from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m..
People will have the chance to receive testing for glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, carotid arteries and vision and hearing. Attendees will also be able to check their blood pressure, calculate their body mass index and get a COVID-19 vaccine or a flu shot.
Appointments are not required to receive a health screening, but health professionals recommended in a press release to fast prior to a screening.
Over 60 exhibitors will also be at HealthSmart Expo, and companies can sign up for a table to promote their services. A non-profit can register for a $300 booth, while companies who are Greater Hall Chamber members can sign up for $350. Companies who are not members can still sign up for a booth, but they will cost $550.
These exhibitors will hold various door prize drawings throughout the day.
A HealthSmart kickoff breakfast will also be underway at 7:30 a.m. for registered individuals and companies. During the breakfast, Alliant Health Plans will issue the 2022 Most Fit Company Awards. This award will recognize outstanding businesses that provide wellness, nutrition and fitness opportunities for employees.
Chamber members can register here for $15, while the price is $20 for non-Chamber members.
