GAINESVILLE, Ga. — North Hall and Gainesville both swept volleyball tri-matches on Thursday.
North Hall knocked West Hall 25-16 and 25-9 and then beat Flowery Branch 25-11 and 25-22.
Gainesville rallied from a set down to beat Forsyth Central 22-25, 25-23, 15-12. The Lady Red Elephants finished the night with a 25-17, 25-16 win over East Forsyth.
For North Hall, Claire Bowen had 10 kills 3 blocks, Sarah Davidson had 6 kills, 3 blocks, and 4 aces while Lexie Martin added 30 assists, 2 aces, and 2 kills. Gavyn Graber had 5 kills and 2 aces Anna Kate Shoaf had 10 digs and 4 aces for the Lady Trojans.
For Gainesville, Hannah Stewart led the way with 18 kills and 3 blocks. Kerrigan Gruhn followed with 12 kills and an ace, Avery Lindsey had 43 assists and 2 aces, and Jay Maldonado provided stellar defense along with 5 aces and 5 assists. Caroline Reisman contributed 10 kills and an assist and middles Kailyn Haven and Taylor Reid had 4 kills each and 3 blocks between them.
Defensive specialist Makenzy Butler played timely defense to go with 3 aces and Maddie Hinshaw added five assists for the Lady Red Elephants.
Both North Hall and Gainesville will take part in the All-City Challenge at South Forsyth High School on Saturday.
