A 22-year-old man was killed in head-on collision Saturday afternoon in Habersham County, the Georgia State Patrol reported.

Christopher Coffman was a passenger in a 2006 Jeep Renegade driven by Alexis White, 24, of Gainesville northbound on Habersham Mills Road Connector near Clarkesville when she failed to yield at Ga. 17.

The Jeep was struck head-on by a Ford F150 pickup driving by Melvin Thompson, 61, of Clarkesville.

All three people were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Coffman died there a short time later. White suffered leg and abdominal injuries and was also taken to the Medical Center.

As of Sunday morning, the state patrol said it doesn't know Coffman's city of residence.
