Jordon Mallett broke out the broom in USCS Sprint Car Series action over the weekend.
The Greenbrier, Arkansas racer swept the race weekend with wins on Friday at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia and on Saturday at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama.
On Friday night, Mallett made the winning pass on Terry Gray at the mid-point of the feature at Boyd’s Speedway, and led the final 12 laps around the 3/8-mile clay raceway en route to the win.
Hayden Martin chased Mallett across the finish in second, followed by Ryan Harrison in third, Gray in fourth, and Morgan Havener in fifth.
Hoschton, Georgia’s Matt Linder finished in seventh, with Pendergrass, Georgia’s Jeff Oliver in 19th.
Mallett, Havener, and Martin won their respective heat races, while Mallett won the speed dash.
On Saturday night, Mallett led all 27-laps to complete the weekend sweep with a victory at East Alabama Motor Speedway.
Morgan Havener challenged Mallett over the final three laps of the feature, but had to settle for a second place result. Michael Miller finished in third, with Hayden Martin in fourth, and Terry Gray in fifth.
Matt Linder came home in sixth followed by Jeff Oliver in seventh.
Hayden Campbell, Oliver and C.J. Miller won their respective heat races, with Campbell winning the speed dash.
The USCS Sprint Car Series is scheduled to return to action on Friday, August 5 at Mississippi’s Hattiesburg Speedway. Visit USCSRacing.com for more information.
