Renovations to temporarily relocate some departments at Hall Co. Government Center

By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

Some departments of the Hall County government will temporarily relocate over the coming week due to ongoing construction of the county's government center.

In a release, county officials said the following offices normally located on the third floor of the building will be moved to the lower level:

  • Building Inspections
  • Business License
  • Engineering
  • Environmental Health
  • Marshal's Office
  • Planning and Development
  • Public Works

The lower level of the government center is accessible via elevators located in the main lobby. The GIS and Construction Management offices are also normally located on the third floor and will be temporarily moved to the second floor.

The relocations are expected to take place from July 18 through July 22. Offices will stay in their new locations until renovations are completed.

Renovations have recently finished on the building's fourth floor and county officials said the Financial Services and Law Department divisions have moved back into their permanent offices there.

The Hall County Government Center is located on Browns Bridge Road just east of McEver Road in Gainesville.
