A Jackson County man was arrested Wednesday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit for sexual exploitation of children.
Matthew Perry Shadburn, 33, faces five counts of distribution of child sex abuse materials.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation was conducting a separate investigation on Shadburn, and then opened another investigation into his online activity.
Authorities conducted a search warrant at his home and arrested Shadburn after.
Shadburn is now in the Jackson County Jail.
The FBI, GBI, the United States Secret Service and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office all participated in the investigation.
