Jacob Hawkins left West Virginia’s Beckley Motor Speedway $20,000 richer on Monday night with a win in the USA 100 for the Southern All Stars Dirt Late Model Series.
The Fairmont, West Virginia driver challenged Max Blair for the early lead, with Blair holding onto the top spot.
Jacob Hawkins wins the USA 100 for his richest payday of his career, a cool $20,000.
Hawkins inherited the lead under caution on lap 31 when Blair suffered a flat tire, and would hold the spot when racing resumed as the field battled for position behind him.
Hawkins appeared to be on his way to the win when the final caution came out with three laps to go in the 100 lap feature. On the restart, Blair challenged again for the lead, but Hawkins held him at bay to record the win and the richest payday of his career.
Zack Dohm finished in third, with Carson Ferguson in fourth, and Ricky Williams in fifth.
Henry Hornsby, Eddie Carrier, Jr., Mike Benedum, Tyler Bare, and Ross Bailes rounded out the top 10.
