Zack Mitchell broke out the broom as the Ultimate Super Late Model Series competed in the Peach State over the weekend.
The Enoree, South Carolina native won on Friday night at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway, and followed that up on Saturday night with a victory at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway.
On Friday night, Mitchell started the night by turning the fastest time in qualifying with a lap in 15.702 seconds around the 3/8-mile clay raceway.
From there, Mitchell topped the field in the 40-lap feature, picking up a $4,000 payday for his efforts.
Brent Dixon followed in second, with Dale Timms in third, Cla Knight in fourth, and Adam Yarbrough in fifth.
On Saturday night, the tour moved south to Georgia’s Senoia Raceway, where Mitchell began the same was as he did the night before.
He was again fastest in qualifying, touring the 3/8-mile speedway with a lap in 16.326 seconds.
From there, Mitchell made a clean sweep of the Indenepdence Day double header by winning his second feature in as many nights.
It marked his 14th career series win, and gave him another $4,000 paycheck.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region traveled to Senoia Raceway located in Senoia, Georgia on Saturday July 2nd for a 40 lap event paying $4,000 to win. 24 competitors signed into Saturdays event all seeing who could claim their spot in victory lane.
Joseph Joiner, Cla Knight, Dalton Cook, and Banjo Duke rounded out the top five.
The next event currently scheduled for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series is set for Saturday, July 9 at South Carolina’s Lancaster Motor Speedway. For more information, visit UltimateSupers.com.
