Search of Grayson home, the scene of June 26 shooting, leads to arrest of two adults

The Gwinnett County Police Department issued a search warrant on Wednesday at 1376 Tullifenny Ct. that resulted in 70 citations, two arrests and the removal of four dogs from the property.

This is the home where two people were injured in a shooting on June 26. A nearby home was also damaged. The shooting is still under investigation, and it involved two groups of five or more people.

In the meantime, Kiante Nelson, 19, and Lashanae Wright, 21, of Grayson were both arrested and charged for maintaining a disorderly home.

According to a press release from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, officers have responded to Nelson and Wright’s home approximately 65 times from January 1 2022 to June 26 2022. These visits were for various issues like noise disturbances, domestic disputes, shootings and racing through the community.

Cpl. William Wolfe with the Gwinnett County Police Department said these issues have not only occurred from Nelson and Wright. Cpl. Wolfe is not sure how many other people live at the residence.

“There's multiple actors in play whether they’re residents or not,” Cpl. Wolfe said. “And multiple arrests have been made. But this is the first time that we've been able to actually make the charge of maintaining a disorderly home.”

Out of the 70 citations Nelson and Wright received, 52 of them were for animal neglect. The animals had poor living conditions and were exposed to blood, urine, feces and drug-related objects that were spread across the property.

Alpharetta-based property owner Progress Residential also received five citations due to the activity on the property.

The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for anyone with information on this case to contact detectives at 770-513-5300.
