Welcome back to victory lane, R.A. Brown.
After struggling to crack the top 5 in Limited Late Model competition this season at Anderson Motor Speedway, the veteran wheelman from Chapin, South Carolina scored his first win of 2022 on Friday night at the Williamston, South Carolina 3/8-mile raceway.
Brown started the night from the second starting position, but soon took control, and went on to hold off Archie Adams to take home the victory.
Austin Northcutt followed in third, with Justin Sorrow in fourth, and Ashton Higgins in fifth.
Austin Somero, Jock White, Chad Bishop, Ralph Carnes, and Nick Thunder rounded out the top 10.
In other action, Rodger Gentry topped the BM Modifieds field to score the feature win over Scott Robinson in second. Jamie Winslett came home in third, with Jason McDowell in fourth, and Kaden Howard in fifth.
Chad Campbell topped the Mini Stock field for his feature win of the season, with B.J. Thrasher in second, David Darnell in third, Ryan Howard in fourth, and Tyler Sease in fifth.
Mitchell Thompson took the win in the US Legends feature. Wesley Thompson, Cole Robie, Scott Wessel, and Pruitt Flanagan rounded out the top five.
Danny Gilbert was the winner in the Pure Stock feature, with Devin Kelley second, Rob Horton third, Chris Lawson fourth, and Shawn Thomson fifth.
Alyssa Kelly beat out Prestin Kelly for the victory in the Young Guns feature. Jordan White followed in third, with Jordan Kane in fourth, and Halee Whitfield in fifth.
The Front Wheel Drive division featured two races on the night, with Tommy Davis winning both features. In the first race, Davis held off Joshua Thomason to win, with Allen Porter third, and Scott Eubanks fourth. In the second feature, Davis again drove to the win, with Porter, Thomason, Kayden Presnell, and Eubanks rounding out the top five.
