NCAA D2 women's golf: Dallas Baptist takes team lead, Servin leads individuals after 2nd round

GAINESVILLE — Anahi Servin of Academy of Art fired a second straight 3-under par 69 on Wednesday to grab the lead after two rounds at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

Servin was tied with two other golfers after Tuesday’s opening round but now leads Lee University's Alex Naumovski by three strokes. Naumovski shot an even-par 72 to remain at 3-under.

Jordan Karrh of Dallas Baptist matched Servin’s 3-under round to pull into a three-way tie for third with Supuschaya Srinchantamit of Lee University and Faith Kilgore of Colorado Christian at 1-under for the tournament.

Daphney Tilton of Henderson State, who was in second after Tuesday, fell back to a tie for 10th after shooting a 4-over 76 on Wednesday.

In the team standings, first-day leader Anderson (S.C.) struggled on Wednesday firing a 12-over 300 to drop back into a tie for fourth at 19-over (595) with Lynn.

Limestone University had the low round of the day shooting a blistering 2-under 286 to climb nine spots into third. 

Dallas Baptist (13-over, 589) jumped into the top spot one shot ahead of Lee University (14-over, 590) after both teams shot 5-over 293s on Wednesday.

One after just seven of the 98 golfers shot under par on the opening day, 17 shot even par or better on Wednesday.

The third and final round of the individual tournament will tee off on Thursday beginning at 9:30 a.m.
