Hedgecock takes Mother’s Day Mayhem SAS win at I-75

Cory Hedgecock picked up his first Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series victory of the season in Saturday night’s Mother’s Day Mayhem at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee.

The home state win was worth a $5,000 payday for the Loudon, Tennessee native.

Hedgecock started the 40-lap feature from sixth position, and took the lead on lap 26. From there, he led the rest of the way en route to the victory.

Mack McCarter followed in second, with David Payne in third, Heath Hindman in fourth, and Riley Hickman in fifth.

John Ownbey, Matt Dooley, Robby Moses, Jason Croft, and Jason Manley rounded out the top 10.
