The White County Board of Commissioners has announced a sole finalist for the position of county manager.
Michael R. Renshaw, who has more than 29 years of experience in local government leadership and is a credentialed manager through the International City/County Management Association, is that finalist.
He has experience as a county manager for more than 10 years, having previously served in that role for Barrow County and in Camden, North Carolina.
Renshaw is a veteran of the United States Navy and Persian Gulf War. He has a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and a master of public administration degree from Arizona State University.
Following the required 14-day waiting period, commissioners will make their final decision at a called meeting at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 23.
