A UGA defensive lineman is one of the latest people to be arrested for allegedly taking part in a potentially dangerous TikTok challenge.

Warren Brinson turned himself in to police Thursday after a warrant was taken out for his arrest. He faces two misdemeanor charges of simple battery.

CBS46 reports three female UGA students contacted police Wednesday afternoon, claiming someone shot at them with a BB gun. One of the victims said she was hit in the ribs, while another said she was hit near the sternum.

They said someone shot from a vehicle at least three times, and one of the victims said she knew it was a BB gun because it had an orange tip.

Police obtained surveillance footage of the incident and located the vehicle seen in the footage at an apartment complex. They spoke with Brinson, who gave them a pellet gun and pellet ammunition. The ammunition was allegedly the type intended to be soaked in water to make them swell in size and softer.

Brinson claimed he thought he was shooting at someone he knew.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Brinson the next day. He turned himself in the same day.

Brinson's arrest is one of several in metro Atlanta recently related to similar social media challenges. The incidents are believed to be tied to the so-called Orbeez Challenge on TikTok.
