In what proved to be a competitive - and crash filled - race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California, Kyle Larson scored a home state win on Sunday.
Our Hard Left Turn takes a look at Sunday's event at the 2-mile speedway, including:
-Larson had to start out back, and wasn't in the hunt untiil late, making the final pass for the win over Daniel Suarez with just two laps to go.
-On the way to the win, contact between Larson and his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott left the Dawsonville, Georgia driver hot under the collar afterwards.
-There was parity through the final rundown, with several previous "underdog" teams finished in the top 10.
-Tyler Reddick was one of several contenders to have unexpected issues during the race, adding to the unexpected nature of the event.
Plus we'll preview this weekend's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
