Three people were hospitalized after a car accident on Ga. 400 in Forsyth County on Tuesday afternoon.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said an SUV was traveling southbound on the highway when the driver ran a red light and struck a daycare bus that was traversing the highway on Martin Road. No children were on board the bus at the time of the collision.
The force of the impact caused the bus to roll over, and it came to rest on its side.
"The driver and the [adult] passenger in the bus were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," said Stacie Miller with the county Sheriff's Office. "The driver of the Envoy was transported to the hospital with fractures but was listed as non-life-threatening injuries."
Although no word was given regarding possible charges in the case, Miller said a preliminary investigation did not reveal any evidence that drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor in the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
