An abducted Alabama girl was safely found in Athens Thursday and her kidnapper has been arrested.
According to Montgomery Real-Time News, an Amber alert was issued after a 14-year-old girl was reported missing. Eidy Aracely Tzi Coc was last seen on Thursday morning in Enterprise Alabama where she lives. Authorities considered it an abduction. The alert said the girl was “believed to be in extreme danger.”
Athens police confirmed that the girl was located and safe in their custody on Thursday evening, according to WDHN-TV in Dothan. They report that the man in custody is Alvaro Salvador, 21.
Salvador had been mentioned in the Amber Alert as a possible suspect, saying he was an acquaintance of the family.
