By Christian Ashliman Anchor/Reporter

Two men were arrested Friday shortly after 10 p.m. during a traffic stop on Mountain View Road in Oakwood.

Authorities conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrests of Candido Rangel Garcia, 45, and Adolfo Solorio Garcia, 31. The stop was directed by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division.

With the help of drug investigators from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, approximately 305 kilos of liquid methamphetamine were seized. Officials estimate the street value of the seized drugs is $22 million. The drugs were reportedly being transported in multiple gas can-like containers.

Reports indicate both suspects have been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and are being held without bond in the Hall County Jail.

The sheriff’s office does not anticipate any further arrests in the case and no other information is available at this time.
