A middle school student at Lanier Christian Academy was recently named the regional winner in an annual middle school essay contest at the Georgia Capitol.
Sadie Wallis was one of 15 regional winners at the Metropolitan Georgia Water Planning District's annual middle school essay contest on Dec. 15.
More than 600 students from across the 15 county region participated in the contest in 2022. One district-wide winner was also named.
The contest focused on water quality and quantity in the metro Atlanta region.
