The fourth-seeded Flowery Branch girls will take on No. 5 Cherokee Bluff at 9 a.m. to get the state's longest-running holiday tournament underway.

In one of the more highly anticipated matchups of the tournament, the Lady Falcons and Lady Bears come into the tournament hot this season, with both hoping to land a spot in the finals on Friday.

Last season, the North Hall girls knocked off Lakeview to capture the 62nd tournament crown. Meanwhile, the East Hall boys edged Gainesville for their first championship in more than a decade.

Once again, Jacobs Media will give basketball fans across Northeast Georgia the opportunity to listen live on radio and online. The opening round and semifinals will be broadcast live on 94.5 FM The Lake, streamed at accesswdun.com. You'll hear the championship games on Friday live on AM 550/FM 102.9 WDUN. AccessWDUN.com will have coverage of every game with stories, photos and video highlights.
