Gainesville's Holly Jolly Trolley is now operating

By Lawson Smith Anchor/Reporter

The City of Gainesville has introduced a new attraction for the 2022 holiday season with its Holly Jolly Trolley.

The hop-on, hop-off experience allows residents and visitors to enjoy a ride through the historical square in downtown Gainesville, explore Whilshire’s Wonderland of Lights and admire beautifully decorated homes and businesses all along the tour’s route.

The Trolley will also make occasional stops to taste rooms, restaurants, and local shops where riders are free to shop as they please.

The Holly Jolly Trolley tour is free for the public and runs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 to 10 p.m. The Trolley will stop touring after December 31.

The city reminds riders that they should allot 35-40 minutes to complete the tour. The trolleys are expected to pass by drop-off/pick-up points every 20-25 minutes. For a map of the route, click here.
