The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office said that this Holiday Season, the agency will form a task force to stop holiday crime in the city beginning November 23.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that this special Holiday Task Force is intended to help citizens feel safer as they shop and gather in public spaces during the holidays.
The AJC also says that the task force, which was implemented by Sheriff Keybo Taylor, will consist of personnel from all divisions of the sheriff’s office who will conduct area checks in public spaces within the community.
The task force operations will stop at the end of the year.
